“A unique indigenous grapes opportunity in Languedoc”
We are fortunate to have the opportunity to create a menu that highlights these spectacular red wines from the Coteaux du Languedoc region of France. Bite welcomes Brice Jourdan of Château l’Argentier, for an evening of food, wine, and stories from his family’s winery. Guests will enjoy a reception at the bar featuring a 100% old vine Cinsault with local and imported cheeses followed by a three course dinner and three very distinct red wines during the evening’s festivities.
Located in Sommières, between Nîmes and Montpellier, Château l’Argentier is run by the same family since 1937. Taking care of 24 hectares of vines, current owners Elisabeth & Francois JOURDAN are committed to produce terroir-driven wines from Languedoc indigenous grapes such as Cinsault, Carignan, Grenache, Mourvèdre, Syrah & Aramon. Produced from old vines planted on Silex soils, all the wines are fermented in concrete vats. After a long ageing in bottles, Château l’Argentier’s wines are always released when they are at their best for drinking.
A reception at the bar followed by a three-course dinner with Château l’Argentier wine pairings .
